The primary aim of IT operations is to run a trustworthy IT ecosystem, focus on the strategic over the tactical, streamline the overall flow of work, help end users succeed, work with DevOps to regulate production, and build clear documentation.

We rely on our IT systems to power the solutions that help consumers around the world. We’re seeking an experienced IT manager who can join us on this journey, using his or her technological skills to make us more efficient. In this role, you will analyze our current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of network maintenance, InfoSec solutions, database optimization, experience managing staff, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. From day one, you’ll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth.

Responsibilities and Activities

As a leader in the IT department, and an employee responsible for organization-wide systems and information, the IT manager should be able to perform the following duties:

  • Manage network architecture for security, performance, and reliability
  • Plan server and desktop refresh schedule and execution plans
  • Develop and maintain corporate and production monitoring systems
  • Manage the Helpdesk to ensure adequate SLA
  • Coordinate and participate in a rotating on-call schedule for the IT department
  • Maintain relationships with hardware and software vendorsProduce and audit documentation as required for Information Security
  • Develop and validate disaster recovery plans for corporate and production resources
  • Plan and execute internal and external audits on a regular basis (HIPAA/HITRUST)
  • Managing and reporting on allocation of the IT budget

  • Recruit, mentor, and provide leadership to the IT team
  • Liaise with other departments to represent IT concerns and responsibilities
  • Regular reporting of IT operations and health to the leadership staff
  • Designing and executing training programs and workshops for staff

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 5+ years’ experience in IT management
  • 10+ years’ experience in IT operations
  • Configuration of switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and VPNs (Dell/Ubiquiti/Watchguard)
  • Configuration mail servers (Exchange, iMail, Barracuda)
  • Administration of Microsoft Hyper-V Hypervisors
  • Administration of storage servers and backup systems
  • Maintenance and security of desktop systems (GPO/WSUS/Antivirus)
  • Administration of production servers (MS Server 2008-2019 standard, datacenter, and core, Ubuntu)
  • Maintenance of telephony systems (Avaya, 3CX)
  • Maintenance of DNS registrations and Certificates

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking
  • Experience with any of the following applications: JIRA, Confluence, Hipchat, Bomgar, RightAnswers, IssueTrack, ChroniCall, Grafana, IIS, FTP, ElasticSearch, SQL Server, Zoom, SilentFax
  • Pertinent professional certifications
