Job Description

OPIE is dedicated to self-organizing high-performing agile scrum teams.

We are looking for a talented, full-stack Microsoft web developer to join our OPIE Purchasing and Inventory platform team.

OPIE Purchasing and Inventory is a robust business to business SaaS application with integrations between our industry’s leading manufacturers and OPIE, our beloved clinical management system.

You’ll join a fun, motivated group of veteran OPIE developers to improve the user experience, add integrations and migrate the platform to modern back-end and front-end technologies.

You’ll be expected to solve complex business, workflow, and technical problems using Software design, development, and testing skills. You’ll be challenged and expected to bring your best every day. Beyond simply your top-notch coding skills, you’ll also be expected to bring your honesty, integrity, courage, and humility.

Essential Functions

Deliver Awesome Software

  • Learn the domain, the products and the customers
  • Thoroughly understand the problem to be addressed
  • Consensus build and validate plans prior to development
  • Design to reduce unintended consequences, maximize ease of use
  • Implement for fast loading times and code maintainability
  • Implement design changes in ASP.NET, C#.NET, React-JS, SQL
  • Write unit, integration, functional tests per team guidance
  • Code review and test your teammate’s solutions
  • Document your work in JIRA and confluence

Fully Participate in Scrum

  • Quarterly, Release and Sprint planning
  • Daily standups
  • Retrospectives
  • Sprint Demos

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Preferred

  • B.S Degree with concentration in computer science or mathematics
  • E-Commerce design
  • 2+ or more years in React-JS experience
  • MSSQL database administration

Required

  • 1 to 5 years development experience including.
  • C#.NET, EntityFramework, MSSQL
  • Knowledge of distributed version control systems (eg GIT)
  • Experience in Agile Software Practices: Pair programming, shared code ownership, TTD
  • Passion, Grit, Team Spirit
