Gainesville, FL – May 29, 2015 – OPIE Software held its first ever Futura and OPIE user conference and training event in Atlanta, Georgia. This event is unlike anything previously provided in the O&P profession, and with over 170 attendees spread over 5 educational tracks, the event offered a little something for everyone!
An OPIE Con attendee, Aaron Allen from Allen O&P said, "OPIE Con is nice because the majority of a practice's group can be in one place at one time working on the details and discussing it afterwards."
He truly hit the nail on the head with that statement, as OPIE Con was born with this unique thought in mind. Over the years, one of the key values of OPIE Boot Camps has been creating a forum where users could collaborate and connect with other practices from around the country. OPIE Con allows for all areas of a practice to come together, with the goal of empowering each practice and giving them the knowledge and know-how to be successful in a healthcare environment full of new and continuing challenges.
No matter the role – front office, billing, practice management, compliance, or clinical – OPIE Con has an educational track that ranges from a day-long to a 3-days series of hands-on training. Each functional area of an Orthotics and Prosthetics practice has its own educational track, and all of the pieces of the puzzle are brought together throughout the event with keynote speakers from business, healthcare, and O&P.
Paul Prusakowski, CPO, FAAOP, CEO of OPIE Software, says, "At OPIE, we are working hard to help independent practices position themselves for success through better business practices. We recognize that a comprehensive approach to educating all of the key individuals in a company about how to work together will help your practice be more successful. OPIE Con provides just that! It is a new approach at education with a focus on collaboration between your team to push your practice and the profession to a new level. By learning together and collaborating with other practices in the educational process, you will leave OPIE Con with an actionable plan for making instrumental changes within your organization that will help position you for continued success in this changing healthcare world."
The theme for the spring OPIE Con was "Come Together. Get Energized. Push Your Practice to New Heights." Through education and training, top notch speakers, networking and group discussion forums, and evening fun – OPIE Con truly brought folks from individual practices together to push their practice to the next level. Diane Perfitt, an attendee from Riverside Prosthetics had this to say about her experience at OPIE Con, "This whole seminar is awesome! We learned so much. I can’t wait to take back all this knowledge and implement it into our office."
OPIE Con is a semi-annual event with locations on the East and West coast, so folks all over the country have easy access to training. Registration for fall OPIE Con is now open! We will host the fall OPIE Con event in San Diego, California from November 18th – 20th.
Discounts are available for conference attendees who register on or before October 28, 2015.
