O&P Clinics around the world use our software to manage all aspects of the care that they provide, from patient intake, scheduling, EMR documentation, purchasing, patient satisfaction, all the way through fabrication, billing and delivery of a prosthetic or orthotic device to the patient.

As an Associate BI Developer at OPIE Software, you will be part of a dedicated team working with the latest technologies and coming up with creative solutions to problems across a wide range of projects from conception to release. You’ll assist in the development and operation of an analytics platform built on SQL, ETL processes, and reporting technologies. Your passion for writing code, solving problems, designing solutions, and collaborating with other highly skilled individuals will allow you to succeed in this fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with your team, stakeholders, and SMEs to rapidly deliver high-quality solutions 
  • Solve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity 
  • Develop visual reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI
  • Create, review, and optimize SQL statements 
  • Connect to data sources to gather, transform, and utilize data within reports
  • Formulate DAX queries for data analysis and calculations
  • Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices 
  • Produce and maintain product documentation
  • Recognize impediments to team efficiency and to propose and implement solutions 
  • Commitment to continual self-improvement and professional development 
  • Represent OPIE and its values in public communications  


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • 3+ years of strong SQL development experience 
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, M / Power Query, DAX preferred) 
  • Familiarity with data preparation and data warehouse patterns and practices 


  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective collaboration skills 
  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset 
  • Strong Self-motivating and self-managing traits
