Your Job

As an Associate UI/UX Designer at OPIE Software you will be part of a dedicated team working to design creative solutions to provide useful and meaningful experiences within our products. You will be responsible for creating and designing web user interface elements that optimize user interaction and experience. Your passion for understanding the user, solving problems, designing solutions, and collaborating with other highly skilled individuals will allow you to succeed in this fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our UX Designer, Product Management, and Engineering team members
  • Participate in product and user research
  • Understand personas and scenarios
  • Creating wireframes, interactive mockups, and prototypes
  • Demonstrate and explain designs to peers and stakeholders
  • Help establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
  • Collaborate on scenarios, end-to-end experiences, and screen designs

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience as a UI designer
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Self-motivating and self-managing traits
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to effectively apply information architecture principles
  • Strong layout and visual design skills
  • Working knowledge of responsive design and grid principles
  • Experience using Adobe XD or similar prototyping/wireframing tools
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
  • Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it
  • Nice-to-have: Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
