An exciting opportunity to intern with an innovative Gainesville company, Gainesville Prosthetics, that built its practice on a sophisticated software platform developed by its sister company, OPIE Software.
This position would interact directly with the CEO and senior staff on a variety of initiatives. Full training on the
data, processes and company will be provided. Projects would be focused on the use of data analytics to evaluate healthcare and financial data.
Intern will play a key role as a member of an internal team. Design and develop new data visualizations, dashboards and other analytical tools to help Gainesville Prosthetics better access, analyze, and comprehend their data.
Engage in the full range of development activities, including interacting with business users and analysts to characterize important questions and available data
Designing and developing effective and impactful data visualizations, and compiling multiple visualizations into intuitive, business-ready dashboards
Work with the latest data visualization techniques and technologies, evaluate new technologies, and innovate on new approaches to develop the best solutions and self-service analytics capabilities
Integrate visualization tools with other platforms to create a modern, enjoyable, and effective user experience
· MS Power BI
· Business process analysis
· Business Intelligence reporting
· Analyzing large data sets for inconsistencies
· Data visualization techniques
· Real time application of data for problem solving for a software product
Working knowledge of MS Excel and SQL. Previous experience working in a business (or business intelligence environment) – even if through an internship. Professional demeanor and ability to work well independently and with teams.
Hours: Flexible 10-12 hours/week
Location: 3870 NW 83rd St, Gainesville, FL.
Time frames: Spring 2020 (Jan-May)
Salary: Negotiable (Note - international students will need to apply for CPT and must pay for 1 credit)
