Gainesville, FL – May 3, 2016 – The groundbreaking conference, OPIE Con, brought together more than 120 attendees, speakers, and sponsors from across the United States. The event took place in Atlanta, GA and the next event will be held in Scottsdale, AZ in November.
OPIE Software hosts OPIE Con for all Futura and OPIE users. This event is unlike anything previously provided in the O&P profession, and it includes 5 educational tracks – Administrative & Compliance, Billing, Clinical, Futura, and Kickstarter. In addition to the specific educational tracks, Keynote Speaker Spencer Penhart, led highly engaging sessions that left attendees feeling energized with concrete action plans and new ideas to take back to their practice.
We took the spring event to the next level by including Robert Gaily, PhD, PT, inventor of the Amputee Mobility Predictor, and Drew Nelson with Alabama Medicaid. They shook the house with their eye opening presentations about where the future of O&P lies and how to stay ahead of the curve. Gailey spoke on functional assessment and integrating that into your everyday practice.
From informative keynote speakers each morning, to educational tracks throughout the day and an evening reception that includes food, live music, and libations, attendees worked hard and played hard.
This event is not only a time to get great education on OPIE and Futura software systems, but it is also a time where attendees have the chance to network with other folks within the O&P profession. Our goal is to take folks beyond clicking buttons and to truly engage and teach them the why and how of running a sustainable O&P office from each functional area.
OPIE Con is a semi-annual event with locations on the East and West coast, so folks all over the country have easy access to training. Registration for fall OPIE Con will be open soon! We will host the fall OPIE Con event in Scottsdale, AZ from November 3-5th.
